Non-inventory items

Ability to use non-inventory stock items. Non-inventory items can be added to stock, purchase orders, and invoices, but they cannot be used in manufacturing (neither as parts nor as final products) or inventory management (stock lots, bookings, etc).

To use this function, turn it ON at Settings -> System settings -> Professional functions.

If this function is turned on, then while adding a new stock item there will be an option "This is inventory item". It is turned ON by default. To add a non-inventory item, turn it OFF. After a stock item is saved, it cannot be changed from non-inventory to inventory item or vice-versa.
