Expiry Date

This function allows manufacturers to use expiry dates and set shelf life times for parts and final products.

When this function is enabled at Settings -> System settings -> Professional functions, an Expiry date field is added to stock lot details. When creating a manufacturing order, raw materials are booked from unexpired stock lots only.

Also, a Shelf life field is added to stock item details. When stock lots, purchase orders, or manufacturing orders are created, software tries to calculate the expiry date by adding a shelf life to the date when this product is received in the stock.

Expiry dates can be changed manually.

If a stock item does not expire, leave this field empty.
