Mr. Peasy AI Assistant

Mr. Peasy is MRPeasy's AI assistant, available to all users. It answers questions about using MRPeasy, such as functionality, setup, and troubleshooting, based on MRPeasy's learning materials, including this User Manual. For example:

• How do I create a bill of materials?

When data access is turned on for your account, Mr. Peasy can also answer questions about your account's data. For example:

• Show me all my items in stock.
• Which items are below their critical on-hand level?
• Show the stock movement history for item ABC over the last three months.

Asking a question

Click the AI Assistant icon in the top-right corner of any page. Mr. Peasy opens in a panel on the right side of the screen and stays open while you move between pages.

Type your question in the field at the bottom of the panel and press Enter or click Send.

Be specific and use relevant keywords. If the answer is not helpful, rephrase or clarify your question.

Under each answer, you can:

• Click Copy to copy the answer.
• Click Helpful or Not helpful to let us know how the answer worked for you.
• Click Sources to see the materials the answer is based on, if available.

If the answer contains a table, you can download it as a CSV file.

Managing chats

Each conversation with Mr. Peasy is a separate chat. Mr. Peasy does not use one chat to answer questions in another.

At the top of the panel, you can:

• Click New chat to start a new conversation. The chat is added to the chat history after you send your first question.
• Click Chat history to open your previous chats, the newest first.
• Click Rename next to the chat title to change it. Conversation gets its initial title from the first question.
• Click Delete next to a chat in the chat history to remove it. A deleted chat cannot be restored.

Answers based on your account's data

By default, Mr. Peasy answers only from MRPeasy's learning materials and does not see your account's data. The Data access indicator at the top of the panel shows the current state of your account: Data access off or Data access: Read only.

When data access is turned on, Mr. Peasy can read the following data to answer questions:

• Items, stock levels, stock lots, and stock movements.
• Bills of materials, routings, and workstations.
• Sites and storage locations.
• Customers.
• Incoming invoices and write-offs.
• Accounting data.

More entities are coming soon, as we keep expanding the data available to Mr. Peasy.

Mr. Peasy can only read data. It cannot create, change, or delete anything in the account.

Each user can only access the data their user rights allow. Mr. Peasy uses only the data that the user can see in MRPeasy.

If data access is turned off for the account, Mr. Peasy can no longer look up the data, and the data included in earlier answers is replaced with [data hidden], also in previous chats.

What is sent to the AI service

Mr. Peasy is powered by Google's Gemini, an external AI service.

The AI service never sees real names. Names of customers, vendors, products, employees, and similar identifiers are replaced with placeholder codes before anything is sent. When the answer comes back, MRPeasy replaces the placeholder codes with the real names. The user sees real names in the chat; the AI service only ever sees codes.

Everything else is sent as written:

• Messages are sent to the AI service as the user wrote them, because that is how Mr. Peasy understands the question.
• Free-text fields, such as notes and descriptions, are sent as written when needed for an answer.

To give more relevant answers, Mr. Peasy knows which MRPeasy page the user has open, but not the data shown on it.

We use Google's Gemini API under a commercial agreement. Google keeps messages for a limited time only, to detect misuse and meet legal obligations. Under Google's terms, your prompts and responses are not used to train Google's models or to improve its products.

Turning data access on or off

Data access is off by default.

The setting applies to the whole account: when it is on, it is on for all users, each within their own user rights.

The setting is on the Support -> AI assistant page, which is available to users with read rights to Support; changing the setting also requires update rights to Settings. Read more about user rights in User Details.

1. Go to Support -> AI assistant and click Edit next to AI Assistant data access. You can also click the Data access indicator at the top of the assistant panel.
2. Read what is sent to the AI service and select Off or Read only.
3. Click Save.

The change applies immediately to all users of the account.

• Mr. Peasy does not replace our human support. For complex, sensitive, or high-risk tasks, such as data removal or setup changes, please contact our support team via the Support Ticket System.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of the answers. Mr. Peasy may misinterpret your question or hallucinate (make things up). Its answers are not official statements by MRPeasy.
• Do not share personal or sensitive information. Anything you type is sent to the AI service as written.
