Hi, In this video, we will demonstrate the MRPeasy and Microsoft Power BI integration.
We’ll walk through how Power BI integrates with MRPeasy, and how you can start creating dynamic dashboards and reports using your production and business data.
Microsoft Power Business Intelligence is a powerful business analytics tool for visualizing data, building interactive reports, and gaining real-time insights. While MRPeasy provides all operational data for day-to-day management, Power BI offers top management a high-level view, helping analyze the bigger picture across production, inventory, sales, and more.
The MRPeasy connects to Power BI Service and transfers data using Push Datasets.
If you plan to use Power BI Desktop, you’ll need to upload the data to the Power BI Service first, and then import it into Desktop from there.
Please keep in mind that Power BI feature availability may vary depending on your Microsoft licensing plan.
The MRPeasy integration sends up to 12 months of historical data.
The dataset structure and table relationships are pre-configured automatically, so you can start visualizing data right away.
Each table corresponds to information already visible in MRPeasy.
Setting up is simple:
- First, make sure you have an active Microsoft Power BI license.
- Next, in MRPeasy, navigate to Settings → System settings → Integrations.
- Click “Connect to Microsoft Power BI”.
- Sign in using your Microsoft account. In this demo, we are already signed in.
- Choose which data tables you want to populate.
- All tables are created automatically, but only selected ones will contain data.
- Click Save to finish.
To upload data, go to Settings → System settings → Integrations → Microsoft Power BI, and click Upload now.
Wait for the upload to finish. The Last upload timestamp will update. In Power BI Service, the dataset will appear in My workspace as a semantic model.
Uploads are manual and overwrite existing data. To keep older data, rename the semantic model before uploading again.
Once the data is uploaded, you can begin visualizing it immediately. See the Power BI documentation for guidance.
As an example, assume your management board wants to see defect rates by vendor.
In MRPeasy, you track rejected rates by inspected lots. To show vendor-level rejected rates and reliability, create a report in Power BI.
Combine Inspection and Purchase Orders datasets. Add a calculated reliability column, which is 1 minus the rejection rate. Power BI then delivers the insights your team needs and updates the report automatically with live data.
And that’s it!
In this video, we showed how easy and seamless it is to connect MRPeasy with Microsoft Power BI, upload data, and start building powerful analytical reports and dashboards.
Thanks for watching!
