For each operation, where the program itself can choose the correct account, sub-accounts can be chosen manually. Although this does not seem complicated at first glance, in practice, when there is a lot of data and not only the professional accountant work with the system &#8211; but also other employees, &#8211; the accounting process is significantly more complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, these (over)complications are artificial and not&nbsp;needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Financial_vs_Managerial_Reports\"><\/span>Financial vs Managerial Reports<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accounting is not only bookkeeping.&nbsp;Besides financial reports, there is also managerial statistics and reports.&nbsp;Namely, information which gives the necessary foundation for making business decisions and evaluating the effectiveness of the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How profitable is the&nbsp;product?<\/li><li>How big is the demand?<\/li><li>Are the employees invested in the work?<\/li><li>What is the load of the equipment?<\/li><li>What are the opportunities to increase efficiency, and reduce costs?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All these issues are very important to the development of the company.&nbsp;But, they are not connected with bookkeeping.&nbsp;The bookkeeping can be simplified significantly, if these questions do not need to be answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, these questions need to be answered. This is what the manufacturing software or the MRP system is much better for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Should_Manufacturing_Software_and_Accounting_Software_Work_Together\"><\/span>How Should Manufacturing Software and Accounting Software Work Together?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping the above said in mind, the right integration works as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The MRP system is the main tool for the firm&#8217;s work. Data input&nbsp;is done to this system.<\/li><li>Only the summary data necessary for bookkeeping is transferred to the accounting program.<\/li><li>Management reports are generated from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrpeasy.com\/manufacturing-software\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">manufacturing software<\/a>, where the original data is entered, that is, from the MRP system.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach has several benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Since management reports are generated by the same system, where the main data is entered, the reports can be configured most flexibly. Also, a big advantage is that reports are available immediately, even in real time.<\/li><li>Simplified bookkeeping.<\/li><li>As the integration is simpler, it is easier to make changes to it, if a need arose.<\/li><li>Since the MRP system contains all the original data, it is easier to find the cause of the changes, or issues.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"In_conclusion_we_wish_to_reiterate_the_main_points\"><\/span>In conclusion, we wish to reiterate the main points:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The main software system for the manufacturing company should be the MRP system.<\/li><li>Accounting is a non-core activity of a manufacturing company, an accounting program is a tool just for the accountant, it is not for operations.
