Two other terms \u2013 <em>mura<\/em> and <em>muri<\/em>, are also used to describe situations where processes depart from optimal resource allocation. <em>Muda<\/em> was originally grouped into 7 categories: Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing, and Defects.
